چکیده

Abstract Power grid is facing several challenges such as voltage violation, power losses, and quality issues due to the high integration of renewable energy sources solar wind. One strategies overcome violation problem provision reactive from wind plants. Local controller these plants coordinates with generate power. The coordinated performs its function based on information obtained whole via communication network. Communication network infrastructure has responsibility ensure secure stable services in order provide reliable control distribution grids (DGs). Unstable or insecure networks can lead problems system, increased losses worse case blackouts. Therefore, this paper analyses impact cyber‐attacks supported by generation PV DGs. Two cyber‐attack scenarios are demonstrated a coordination scenario real Northern Denmark. Simulations done Simulink model Thy Mors Energi Grid, A cyber block implemented within mitigate effect cyber‐attack. Experimental results show that it possible detect denial service integrity attack before sending signal thus contributing towards secure, stable, resilient grid.

Minimization of Losses in Smart Grids Using Coordinated Voltage Control

This article deals with the influence of distributed generation (DG) on distribution line losses with respect to voltage profile. The article focuses on the development of a control strategy to minimize the grid losses and assure fairness regarding reactive power contributions. As retail customers typically have no choice where they are located along a feeder, it seems unfair that only some of ...

Integrated Coordinated Optimization Control of Automatic Generation Control and Automatic Voltage Control in Regional Power Grids

Automatic Generation Control (AGC) and Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) are key approaches to frequency and voltage regulation in power systems. However, based on the assumption of decoupling of active and reactive power control, the existing AGC and AVC systems work independently without any coordination. In this paper, a concept and method of hybrid control is introduced to set up an Integrate...

Voltage and Frequency Droop Control in Low Voltage Grids by Distributed Generators with Inverter Front-end

In recent years, an ongoing increase of grid-connected distributed and renewable electricity generation technologies is clearly noticeable. From an environmental perspective, the increase of renewable technologies is highly desirable, as they do not emit greenhouse gasses and thus not contribute to climate change. Nevertheless, their increase poses increasing challenges on the reliable operatio...
